What is it?
A certified Raise the Bar Indiana facilitator will provide an hour (approximately) training for your staff. The focus will be on learning to recognize the signs of potential sexual assault, how to intervene safely on behalf of the victim, and how to create a safer environment for all within your establishment.
What do I get?
After completing the training, your establishment and each individual participant will receive a Raise the Bar Indiana certificate. You will also receive a window cling so potential patrons know you have been certified. We will promote your establishment as a safer option and highlight your desire to provide a safe environment for your patrons.
Our facilitator training is approximately two hours in person. It is an interactive training. We walk you through the entire Raise the Bar Indiana presentation and provide guidance on how to present the topics. While the presentation is standardized, there is room for you to "make it your own". We also offer suggestions on how to answer questions, get establishments engaged and on board, and how to being the training process.
What do I get?
At the end of the facilitator training you will be provided with a certificate and fundamental materials for facilitating Raise the Bar Indiana. For your first establishment training, we will have another experienced Facilitator shadow you. This way they are on hand if you need assistance, and can provide helpful feedback after the training is over. You also receive ongoing assistance from us, and other facilitators as you engage your community in the program.
